We’re looking for a Country Manager to join our team to oversee and drive our overall business growth in Canada with a strong focus on strategy, marketing, e-commerce, and B2B. We are open to candidates who are either based in New York, USA or based in Toronto, Canada.

Yoto’s North America Team
The North America team is a dynamic, cross-functional group bringing together diverse expertise across multiple departments including Marketing, Commercial, Content, Operations, and Customer Happiness teams. Working collaboratively, we leverage our collective skills to deliver exceptional products and experiences to drive growth in our largest market. We are an agile group catering to the unique needs of the North American market, while maintaining strong connections with our global counterparts.
What you’ll be doing:
Your leadership will be crucial in expanding our market presence and spearheading growth in Canada.The Country Manager for Canada has a wide range of responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assisting in developing and managing the Canadian business plan as part of the North American and global plans
Helping oversee financial performance and budgeting for the Canada market
Developing key partnerships in Canada that will help us acquire local customers
Overseeing and implementing the Canadian marketing calendar as part of the larger North American marketing calendar
Working in close collaboration with marketing colleagues (PR, Social, Performance, Brand, Retention) to successfully manage and execute campaigns, on time and on budget
Working with the global teams to launch new products and campaigns in market
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients
Collaborating with our Commercial team to successfully manage and build our retail relationships and ensure the Yoto brand presence is maximized in store
Coordinating with the Content team on the localization and curation of audio content for the Canadian market, ensuring cultural relevance and regional appeal
Identifying and organizing activation at relevant trade shows and events
Coordinating across Operations and Supply Chain to ensure efficient product availability and delivery for the Canadian market
Monitoring market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making
Leading and developing the Canadian team
What you’ll bring:
5+ years of experience in a similar role; experience at a fast growth startup/scale up is a huge plus
Strong understanding of Canadian consumer behavior and the B2B landscape
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field highly preferred
Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business and marketing strategies in the Canadian market
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with global counterparts
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Experience building and managing partnerships with brands, retailers, publishers, and content creators
Excellent financial acumen, including budget management and P&L responsibility
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with bilingual French preferred
Ability to take on large workloads while keeping your cool
Knowledge of latest marketing technologies and trends
A passion for audio content and technology
Ability to think on your feet, and learn fast
An understanding of marketing children’s products/marketing to parents
Salary:
If you are based in NY, we offer between $85,00-$95,000 based on experience.
If you are based in Toronto, we offer up to CAD $100,000 based on experience.

Flexibility: Hybrid working with a choice based approach - we would love you to come into the Brooklyn office twice a week, if not more. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.

On top of this, you also receive your birthday off, plus 1 extra day of holiday for every year worked after you hit your 2 year anniversary, up to 5 extra days. After 4 years of service, you are also eligible for our sabbatical policy offering up to 3 months' of unpaid sabbatical.
