Country Manager, Canada
We’re looking for a Country Manager to join our team to oversee and drive our overall business growth in Canada, with a strong focus on strategy, marketing, e-commerce, and B2B. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful impact and shape Yoto’s growth in an exciting, expanding market. The role is based in Toronto, Canada.

Yoto’s North America Team
The North America team is a dynamic, cross-functional group bringing together diverse expertise across multiple departments including Marketing, Commercial, Content, Operations, and Customer Happiness teams. Working collaboratively, we leverage our collective skills to deliver exceptional products and experiences to drive growth in our largest market. We are an agile group catering to the unique needs of the North American market, while maintaining strong connections with our global counterparts.
Your leadership will be instrumental in driving Yoto’s next phase of growth in Canada. As Country Manager, you will own the end-to-end revenue growth strategy for the market, collaborating with global and local teams to ensure seamless execution.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and executing Yoto’s Canada business plan, aligning with North American and global objectives
- Managing channel strategy, ensuring optimization of distribution channels, pricing structures, and promotional activities to drive revenue growth
- Building relationships with key partners, brands, content creators, and educators to enhance Yoto’s market reach
- Amplify Yoto’s brand presence by managing and executing the Canadian marketing calendar in alignment with the North American strategy - while overseeing our PR agency and local initiatives
- Using data-driven insights to optimize marketing performance and partnership effectiveness
- Overseeing activations at industry trade shows, consumer events, and educational conferences
- Overseeing financial performance and budget management for the Canadian market
- Leading and developing the Canadian team, ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration with North American and global colleagues.
What you’ll bring:
- 8+ years of experience in a similar role; experience at a fast-growth startup/scale up is a huge plus
- Strong understanding of Canadian consumer behavior and the B2B landscape
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business development and marketing strategies in the Canadian market
- Experience building and managing partnerships with brands, retailers, publishers, and content creators
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Bonus points for:
- French spoken and written skills
- A passion for audio content and technology
- An understanding of marketing children’s products/marketing to parents.
Salary: CA$140,000 - $160,000 based on experience

A choice based approach - as a remote employee you will work from your home with occassional travel to our Brooklyn office, as required. Our work from anywhere policy gives you the opportunity to work from a different location for a temporary period.
