Yoto’s Content Team
At Yoto, the content we produce and license is at the heart of everything we do. Our team of passionate children’s media specialists have experience across publishing, music, education and audio production.
Our Yoto Originals range is where we get to flex some serious creative muscle. We work with world-class brands to create completely new audio products, as well as coming up with brand-new genre-busting formats that surprise and delight our passionate - and demanding! - audience. So far we’ve got kids moving, baking and laughing, introduced interactive and non-linear formats, and even won a few awards along the way.
This will be a US-based Associate Producer role. While you will report into our London-based Executive Producer, you will work closely alongside our US-based Senior Audio Producer, Head of Content North America, the rest of our US team, as well as the wider global team based out of London.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working within the Content Team to assist in the creation of Original spoken word audio for the Yoto Player - both in-house and with our licensed partners
- Supporting the Executive Producer and Senior Audio Producers on all aspects of production from concept through to delivery - with the goal of developing your skills to eventually manage and deliver your own projects
- Liaising with licensors on the production and approval of original audio: using licensors’ approval systems and sharing feedback with the production team
- Working within the team to build creative audio publishing plans, including script review, editing, and approval
- Writing and submitting design briefs for our original productions
- Assisting with casting, booking, contracting, and coordinating record sessions, voice actors, freelance producers, and studios
- Assisting with the administrative aspects of productions, including but not limited to; creating voice actor contracts and commissioning agreements, building and maintaining production schedules, and processing production invoices
- Proof listening and approving original audio -- providing detailed feedback and notes where necessary and ensuring all original audio is released to the highest standard
- Any other tasks that support the audio production team.
What you’ll bring:
- 2-3 years experience in audio production
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A love for creating new and innovative children’s audio
- Strong creative and editorial skills – and a good ear!
- An understanding of SAG-AFTRA union rules for voice actors
- Knowledge of audio technology and sound engineering
- Strong production and organizational skills
- Writing or audio editing skills are a real bonus!
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience
